Enterprise Account Manager
As our Enterprise Account Manager for the northeast, you will focus on developing, expanding and closing business with Fortune 1000 / Global 2000 financial services firms high revenue potential organizations. In this position you are responsible for selling Pareto’s solutions to named accounts in the New York Metro Area. You will be expected to have proven success selling enterprise networking, security, SaaS applications, or virtualization products to these customers and have existing relationship with key economic buyers and influencers in order to acquire new business. Additional requirements include:
- This position is located in the greater New York metro area (NYC, NJ, CT).
- Develop and execute a Prospecting Plan to develop 3X opportunity pipeline
- Call on specific targeted accounts and identified by marketing.
- Call previously acquired customers to identify new opportunities and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Achieve or exceed all monthly and quarterly sales quotas.
- Develop and execute with management team quarterly Account Plans
- Maintain close relationship with management team to increase chance of closure
- Present the company pitch, as provided by the executive team and marketing and provide feedback to management team for improvements.
- Involve and leverage key resources at corporate to close accounts, such as management team; corporate systems engineering, and board members to close business.
- Obtain thorough knowledge of company's product solutions, case studies, and business value to identify and drive qualified leads and close business
- Record all communication, sales and lead qualification activity into Salesforce.com CRM system and other management systems.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years exceeding quota selling networking, security, virtualization, or software products from an early stage company to F500 and large financial services organizations.
- Demonstrable success navigating and managing complex selling situations and accounts
- Must have successfully taken an early stage product from a Silicon Valley based company to market in the NYC metro area.
- Experience at larger successful networking, security, SaaS, or virtualization business is desired

Inside Sales Representative
This position will be expected to perform articulate, professional, and knowledgeable outbound sales calls, telemarketing calls and electronic communication to customers and prospects in order to acquire new business:
- Reporting to President / CEO.
- Develop and execute a prospecting plan to develop 3X sales pipeline
- Conduct thorough follow-up on leads/lists generated by marketing programs.
- Conduct research to identify companies to target for cold calls
- Proactive calling of 40+ calls per day into identified prospects and install base accounts to achieve revenue targets
- Maintain close relationship with the entire Pareto organization to increase chance of closure
- Obtain thorough knowledge of company's product solutions, case studies, and business value to identify and drive qualified leads and close business
- Achieve or exceed all monthly and quarterly sales quotas.

Corporate Systems Engineer / Support Engineer
Responsible for serving as the technical interface for customers to the Pareto Solution, both for pre-sales and post-sales activities.
Required Experience
- 10+ years building and operating enterprise-class networks.
- Prior experience as a SE.
- Must be expert in all types of networking technologies including (but not limited to): VPNs, (both IPsec and SSL), routing, bridging, 802.11 wireless, QoS, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is required. A Master's degree in these fields is a plus.
- Successful candidate will be highly motivated and able to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic, team oriented environment.
- Desired Experience
- Past experience with network management a big plus.
Key Objectives & Major Responsibilities
- Relay customer requirements and bugs to engineering.
- Validate that features built and perform final validation testing of bugs fixed before delivering to customers, (with QA engineer’s assistance).
- Assist Product Management in translating customer’s high-level requirements to specific feature requests.

Embedded Software Engineer (contractor)
Responsible for delivery of working embedded appliances for the Pareto solution including designing, building, testing, debugging and supporting software running on the Pareto appliances. Reproduce build environments of open source projects and integrate on-going bug fixes from the open source community. Occasionally produce bug fixes to open source code, and publish those fixes to the open source community.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years building embedded systems, particularly networking devices and systems.
- Prior experience with Linux 2.6.
- Must be well-versed in all types of networking technologies including (not limited to): VPNs, (IPsec and SSL), routing, bridging, 802.11 WLAN, QoS, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, firewalls.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is required. A Master's degree in these fields is a plus.
- Must be able to understand the context in which requested features will operate.

WEB UI Engineer (contractor)
Web UI engineer for a several month contract with a possible conversion to perm status. Responsible for coding of the Pareto Web UI using HTML/CSS and Javascript (Prototype). Work directly with Director of Marketing on visual design and interaction of the product. Scripting in PHP. Production graphics work, some design, using Photoshop.
Required Experience
- 5+ years experience with HTML/CSS, you must provide examples of your work
- 5+ years experience with one or more scripting languages (PHP, Ruby, JSP, etc); more is better.
- Understand the nuances of cross-browser CSS layout.
- Fluent in CSS with DIV based layout.
- Experienced with graphics tools, (Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks etc.).
- Excellent communicator who can manage expectations and work with the engineering, solutions engineering, and product marketing teams
- Successful candidate will be highly motivated and able to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic, team oriented environment.
Desired Experience
- Training in HCI, Cognitive Science a big plus.
- Some experience with one or more AJAX frameworks, Prototype based preferred.

- Take ownership of building all of Pareto's Web service UI, as specified by UI designer and Product Management.

QA engineer (contractor)
Job Summary
QA contractor with experience in networking for a several month contract with a possible conversion to perm status.
Required Experience
- Extensive networking experience, including VPNs, SSL, RIP, DHCP, 802.11g.
- Extensive QA experience testing networking devices and Web services.
- Ability to test from a white-box perspective is an absolute must. Candidate must be eager to dig deeply into our solution by evaluating the internal implementation looking for weaknesses, and use their scripting skills to provoke the product in severe ways.
- Experience with Linux, Linux shell scripts, mySQL, PHP, and HTML.
- A BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is required. A Master’s degree in these fields is a plus.
Desired Experience
- Prior experience developing networking devices and software a big plus.
- Experience with SSL VPNs and/or networking management a big plus.
- Past experience managing large networks a big plus.
Key Objectives & Major Responsibilities
- Create & run tests to validate RIP, non-NAT’d solution, performance, and UI functions
- Create & run tests designed to catch regressions.
- Work-through backlog of fixed bugs and create & run test cases for each.
Performance Metrics
- Number of regressions detected in production (and missed by QA).
- Backlog of bugs fixed by engineering but not yet verified by QA.
- Reproducible process including tracking of test cases in a manner that other QA resources can re-run tests for regression testing.
- Writing of scripts to automatically test aspects of the solution.
